OFFICIAL.is destined to sometimes go off the rails. Most of you guys know I'm a pretty unshakable DayZ supporter.

But when the ArmA 3 Buldozer starts up all of my island is white and when I check out my ArmA3.rpt it says something about not being able to open the layer.rvmats whereas it works perfectly with the normal buldozer. Do you have any idea what might cause this or how I could fix this? Tools for create new maps for arma3 Theme.

I don't have many complaints when it comes to this game and any I do have I know are being worked on.However have you guys seen this?That is what a post-apocalyptic world looks like. Built up, overgrown, the remains of old survivor bases. It looks so good and then when I go to DayZ I get. A broken window or two, one cool plane crash and that's about it.

(I know stuff is coming later).I love DayZ but it really is the most unpost-apocalyptic looking post-apocalyptic game I've ever played. My brother and I run a server on ArmA 3, running the mod 'Desolation:REDUX' on the Chernarus Redux map. It is literally the only server that comes close to the traditional DayZ Mod experience. And so much more imo. Many have attempted it but we've perfected it.Our discord is also pretty chill with a lot of the redux devs like to kick it and shoot the shit. All the info you need to play if anyone gives a shit is in the vids. Figured I'd just chime in since everyone is riled upanyone else love walking zombies?:-).

The brothers or partners or whatever running the server are pretentious and angsty in chat. The population doesn't break 10 most times. Nonexistent documentation for partially implemented systems is omnipresent.

Seam issues with most meshes. Some melee weapons have 5m reach, some have no swing animation. The greatest thing praised on the server is walking zombies, but they don't mention that they travel through walls and doors and it's a crapshoot as to whether your melee weapon will work.It's just like the rest of A3 DayZ clones but with a smaller population and amateurish team. If you want that personal level of interaction with all active players, it's easy to find here, but if you're looking for a new mecca of DayZ nostalgia, you're barking up the wrong tree. I've seen you post about your server before and I have to say I like it.BUT, walking zombies?! How on earth is that 'hardcore'?

It's so damn easy to just get around them. I highly doubt you'd be able to saturate the server with enough zombies to make walking zombies a real threat. Is it a death sentence if you get bit/scratched/hit by them once like in movies? If so that would make them somewhat of a challenge. 28 Days Later, World War Z, and DayZ Mod have shown us just how deadly and intense running zombies can be. I used to hate the zombies in all the ArmA 3 'DayZ-ish' mods, but it seems they've been greatly improved (everyone uses the zombies and demons mod, right?). Last time I played an Exile 'DayZ-ish' mod a couple months ago the zombies were really good in terms of aggro and they were deadly as hell.

Why ruin that by restricting them to walking?.

First of all my recommondation for getting started in arma 3 is:Setting the compass to 'space' (from 'K')this will make calling coordinates much easierAlso setting grenades to '2xG' (from 'G')this will reduce the amount of accidently thrown grenadesLooking at the several Combat stances and movement keys is always a good idea.An Antistasi key is 'Y' (or 'Z' on a qwertz keyboard) and shouldn't be used.What is Antistasi?Antistasi is a Coop Single and Multiplayer mod of Arma 3. Its possible to add pvp aspects if you Join Nato and CSAT.

I would suggest that we only start as 'indipendent'.You are a member of a rebellion or guerilla group and try to throw Nato and CSAT from your wonderful island.One player is the commander and has higher cababilitys to change the war effort.You start as a small group with no money and no support by the local population. Your goal is to gain support, get gear and fight the enemy troops.Also Antistasi contains reworked AI which seems to be pretty smart at the first glance.if you prefer reading this is the official guide:A basic tutorial video (you can ignore the first 20 Minutes). The focus at the beginning of the game should be gathering resources and avoiding missions.My suggestions is kill some local gendarmes take loot steel some cars and get them back to the HQ.Antistasi has a high difficulty and what we will need is a lot of gear.A good way is to get into a town kill some gendarmes, wait for some soldiers to arrive and loot them. Also destroying roadblocks, loot and look out for an ammo crate.Probably the cheapest way is to steal some cars and sell them for the sake of the rebellion.You tactic at the start is always kill and gtfo.A good way to get started is form up a group, kill some Cops get the response, Kill the roadblock and loot. One group should drive back the gear while the other group gains control over the town. Once you start to feel that your gear is improving you can move on to the next stage of the game.update (25.09):After making good progress gathering resources and vehicles.

Starting to cause a little chaos and maybe even conquer a radio is a good idea. Info on the progress can be seen on the map/game info in the HQ. (need to make a picture for better clarification)A good idea is at this stage is to take over a radio tower. It will disturb the ability of the enemy to communicate and also will send propaganda to the local population which will turn their favour towards you. The ability of the commander to garrison units at the radio tower will be needed here.
